ASNH Awards at New Haven Science Fair

New Haven, CT - May 13, 2008 Young Scientists from K through 12 took home awards from the New Haven Science Fair held at Yale's Woolsey Hall

Tuesday May 15th ASNH members (STARS(Support Towards Astronomy Related Studies ) chariperson) Paul Hyndman, Al Washburn, Mike Dzubaty, Mike Amato, Allan Sacharow, and Greg Barker became "Special Awards" judges and set out to find three winners.

The winners we found were awarded on Thursday May 15th at Yale's Woolsey Hall

  • Edwin M. Pabon of Hyde Leadership School, New Haven was awarded $200.00 for his exhibit on "Holmes Activity"
  • Ms. Megan Noonan's 3rd grade class of John S. Martinez School School, New Haven was awarded $175.00 for there exhibit on "Our Meteor Shower Brings Brain Power"
  • Ms. Gina M. Raucci's 1st grade class of Timothy Dwight School School, New Haven was awarded $150.00 for there exhibit on "Sun Shadows"
