Photo by Leo Taylor307 viewsNebula image is NGC 1977 and M 42. Pentax K100D DSLR,
Stellarvue Nighthawk 80-f6, 2 min * 56 exp. I had my old "refractor
blue bloat" around bright stars. I cheated and fixed most blue circles, but could not fix the stars inside the Running Man Nebula. I'm just happy to see the Running Man, blue nebulas are near
impossible with the SBIG camera in my location.

picture taken January 20, 2007 from Marlborough, Ct.
It was taken with a Nikon D100 camera with a 35mm lens at f/3.5 for 30 seconds. Very dim synchrones on left side of the frames about 20 degrees in length. Only 1 was actually visible to the naked eye, due to the setting moon and Venus at 6:15pm.

This comet was very difficult to capture because of it's closeness to the horizon, and constant clouds moving through. Photographed with a Nikon D100, asa of 800 1/8th of a second exposure with a 600mm lens.
Estimated magnitude of 0 to -1.
